What are Ripplefold Draperies?
Ripplefold curtains do not have traditional pleats. Instead, the fabric makes gentle S curves, forming soft folds. The fabric is sewn flat with a snap tape or hook that attaches to a special track that allows for a pre-determined fullness. Ripplefold panels are sometimes referred to as S pleats or S folds.
The track on Ripplefold drapes is always exposed. This allows for the drape to fold back and forth below the track for a graceful look. This style is often used in contemporary settings such as in the examples pictured below.
At Athena’s Window Fashions, we’ll be glad to discuss your style choices and walk you through the process of choosing what’s right for you. Looking for exceptional quality and a personal touch? We’re here as your source for beautiful draperies in Gilbert AZ and the Phoenix Valley.
